I’m surprised at the glowing reviews of this establishment. The food was really only so-so. But more than that, our experience with the hotel was terrible and even frightening. We were planning on staying there because they had a relatively good price for a room. The man in charge told us that our room would be ready at 4 pm and that we could leave our bags in another room and come back when ours would be ready. We got back at 5, and the room still hadn’t been cleared- one of their friends was still occupying it. Exhausted from a day of travel and tired of waiting, we decided to look around at a few other places. The man followed us on his motorbike and THREATENED us when he saw we were looking at another place. When my husband tried to confront him, he drove away, still shouting threats. It was a scary and infuriating experience, and I recommend to all travelers coming to Palolem to stay away from Cupid’s Castle!
