nightlife_of_mumbaiMumbai is a city that never sleeps and it is night when Mumbai really starts hopping. Nightlife is sparkling in Mumbai and there are loads of discos, bars and cinemas. The last few years have seen Mumbai nightlife reaching a feverish pitch with the influx of global entertainment brands in India. It would be no exaggeration to mention that the Nightlife in Mumbai is deceitful enough for anyone to spend an entire stay in Mumbai partying in fantastic clubs. There are literally dozens of nightspots in the city.

The nightlife of Mumbai offers the nocturnal tourist a wide variety of places to choose from like cocktail clubs, hard-rock spots, pubs, coffeehouses and piano-bar restaurants scattered throughout the city. The most attractive partying joints are those in the five-star hotels or in Colaba, Bandra, or Juhu. For the fans of retro, who love the disco era, is the “Polly Esther’s club” at Colaba Causeway, complete with a ‘Saturday Night Fever’ dance floor. The “Library Bar” at the Taj President Hotel is aimed at businesspeople and high rollers. They have live music from Tuesday to Sunday. The most famous club in Mumbai, “Enigma”, at Juhu Tara Road draws in actors and models and is definitely the place to be.

”The Dome” at Marine Drive, offers a stunning view of the entire sweep of the iconic Queens Necklace, and proves to be one of Mumbai’s most beautiful locales. In Bandra, “Onyx” is a seriously stylish drinking-eating-partying venue that puts the glam into the city’s glitterati. In south Mumbai “Polyester” is good for some nostalgic ’80s song and dance. In Colaba, it is a one time experience to visit the pricey high-ceiling two-floor “Indigo”. It is voted among 60 top restaurants in the world. The city’s sunset strip, Waterfield Road, is lined with edgy venues such as “Zenzi” , “Seijo” and the “Soul Dish” that play a mixture of hip hop, house and break beats. . For a fun alfresco experience not far from the Taj, is a rooftop “Koyla”, a hookah bar and restaurant where white tents flap in the breeze amidst leafy vegetation and lots of cozy low sofas and cushioned corners. It is a good mix of music, mood and food.

”Insomnia” at the Taj and “Not Just Jazz by the Bay” at Marine Drive is filled with jazz memorabilia, and has live music on Wednesday and Saturday nights. “Athena” is a cigar lounge restaurant, with low yellow sofas and opaque glass counters. It is a perfect place to relax.

With so many options to your side, you have no choice but to believe that this is one Indian city that really never sleeps.
