Sunburn DJ Lineup 2010

16183Best-Beaches-India is back with a lot more dough on the Sunburn fest infesting us this year with a non-stop three day affair with absolute electronica at the beaches of Goa.

The DJ Lineup has been revealed along with a lot more innovative add-ons this year.
Festival Director Nikhil Chinappa reveals, “We will be installing a foam stage on the beach to add to the experience of Sunburn. We’re still trying to work out the logistics because we will then need to install showers as well. But what I am most excited about is an open mic of sorts we are hoping to get going on an experimental stage that we are setting up. The point of the stage is to invite people to come up on stage with their kits and play”

“We keep trying to open more avenues to spread good and undiscovered electronica music. We are not a booking agency. Our point is not to get DJs from around the world. We want people to be aware of what is really good and we are always pushing young and new talent. I never get the chance to play since I am so busy organizing everything. But I should play if things go well.”

“Sunburn’s vision over the coming decade is to become a full-fledged festival where people can camp overnight. There’s a special children’s area for couples who come with their kids to a friendly atmosphere t hat can pan over three days and nights and spell comfort. I always intended to give India its own festival, which is why I never took on an international format.”

Whom to expect at Sunburn this year:

The main acts that’ll mark the fest will be that of the Dutch Phenomenon Ferry Corsten who will be joined by international artists like Axwell and BT. The other names unveiled by the director are:

Pete Gooding
Richard Durand
Sultan
Ned Shepard
John 00 Fleming
Protoculture
Aly & Fila
Pearl
Jalebee Cartel
Ma Faiza
Funkagenda
Albin Myers
