Corbyn Cove – Andaman and Nicobar
Corbyn Cove beach is located on Andaman Islands and is located just 4 kms away from the airport at Port Blair. It is in the souther end of Andaman and is 7 kms away from the main town.
Why Corbyn Cove?
The beach is a perfect location for tourists who love to take a dip in the clear ocean waters. For shutterbugs, the place offers a breath taking view of sunrise and sunset. The beach is surrounded by coconut trees on all sides providing nice shade to relax and watch the beautiful sea.
An array of water sport activities can be carried out at Corbyn Cove, some of these include Scuba Diving and Snorkeling. But make sure to do it with professional divers as the tide can get strong at times.
How to get there?
Port Blair can be reached by air or ship from Chennai and Kolkatta and Vishakapatnam. The journey might take two days via sea lines. From Port Blair, regular vessels leave for Corbyn Cove. Apart from that, private taxis or pre booked vehicles can take you to Corbyn Cove.
Where to stay?
There are a couple of good hotels in Corbyn Cove, but it would be more preferable to book a room in Port Blair itself as its not too far away and offer a lot of good hotels. Hotels like Peerless Sarovar Portico in Corby are slightly expensive but worth the money.
What to carry?
If you are planning to go scuba diving, make sure you carry your diving suit. This beach is a public beach so carrying your own foldable chair will help as it might get slightly crowded during peak seasons. Carrying sun glares and sun screen is advisable.
